Darwin Festival 2012: 9 – 26 August Darwin Festival has become the premier Top End arts event with a program that is distinctly flavoured with Indigenous, Asian and multicultural events. Held over 18 days in August during the dry season, the Festival boasts an eclectic and colourful program encompassing theatre, music, dance, visual arts, comedy, film, workshops, and free events in tropical, outdoor venues. With ‘heart’ at its essence, Gympie’s Heart of Gold International Film Festival is Australia’s only film festival to exclusively screen uplifting, thought provoking, and positively skewed short films. AUM worked with Heart of Gold for the 2010 & 2011 Festivals, forging close partnerships with the local Sunshine Coast print, radio and television media. Highlights of the campaign included daily coverage in the Gympie Times, an outside broadcast with ABC Coast & Wide Bay FM as well as a feature in the Courier Mail.
