Byron Bay based producer Kamal Engels’ production of The Gyuto Monks of Tibet – Pure Sounds was been nominated for an award at the 2011 Grammy’s [Best Traditional World Music Album]. Kamal found out unexpectedly in early December 2010 and was nominated together with four other contenders including previous Grammy winners Ali Farka Touré and Toumani Diabaté. In the lead up to the Grammy winners announcement, AUM worked with local and national media to generate coverage on Kamal’s unique story. In late September 2011, INXS has announced that singer/songwriter Ciaran Gribbin has joined the band as their new front man, and have recently unveiled the first new demo recording with their new singer, titled “Tiny Summer,” which can now be heard exclusively at INXS.com.
